Name: Beaded Green Pteri Bookmark

Notes: I am one of the biggest Pteri fans on Neopets, so it only seemed fitting to make a beaded Pteri. I forget if this was my first or my second beaded sculpture made using my good quality beads (The other being the Ruby-throated Hummingbird). This one is unique in that I made the wings two-layered in order to show the different colors above and below the wings. I had originally intended to get it featured in the Art Gallery on Neopets, but after a while I saw a subject in the Random Contest which I could easily adapt the sculpture to fit. Thus in September 2006 I made this beaded Pteri into an ornament on a bookmark. The style of the bookmark is based off of my favorite bookmark which is just a couple ribbons tied together with an old beat-up lightsaber (Hilt only since the blade broke off) keychain on it. This Pteri bookmark managed to get first place in the Random Contest. I do use it as a bookmark occasionally, but only if I think I can keep it from getting damaged. The feathers on the bookmark are from my birds, Pippin (Dark green), Charly (Light green), and Sellina (Yellow).
